This isn't the only feud this post has started...sad that our choices of media has such a huge impact on our likes or dislikes of others.

I don't have an issue. I disputed that analog is not necessarily better than digital, then we get a flood of "analog" posts. I asked why keep posting random recordings which have nothing to do with the discussion.

I REALLY do not care what anybody uses, but my experience with those who need to brag about their gear has not been positive.
I ask to be on record as saying for most studios a vintage audio board that costs as much as a house is a bad investment. Pure business.
I did not attempt to belittle. Did feel I had to call out what I saw as a childish post.

Yes I agree for those coming into the business. For those who already have the equipment keep it. Even at a sampling rate of 24 192 the Neve analogue board will far exceed that performance. BUt most important is that it is less noticeable on those 8 inch near field monitors than a TAD , Altec , Augpurger large monitors were all the details can be noticed. Remember thatt I tunes MP/3 are so compressed that they sound good only with earphones but on big systems the compression is such that the mids go into the tweeter and the bass in the mids.

The original question was How they are doing this. The answer is with pro tools which consists of a soft ware , a dac converter by Digidesign cost 4000$ and for those who want a board or console DIGI and AVID and other companies make them.
But it is not necessary since the board can be illusttrated on your monitor.I'll try to find a picture of a neet set up.

I fail to see how you can compare an analog board to a recorder? You have to consider the whole chain. As stated clearly don't care if you use an analog board. people whose work is just as good as yours don't. It's way past time to end this, you are getting seriously boring. Use whatever you want, take the discussion to a recording group. I REALLY don't think anybody here is gonna buy a Neve. There is simply no reason to continue but your own needs.

I did find it amusing you used a digital copy relayed digitally across the internet then converted back to analog to show how much better analog was.

It has to do with Mic Preamps quality . They are all analogue with the AD converter just after them wether built in or in a mixer. For example the Gramys chose a ..... 112 chanells of Preamp AD to feed directly digitally into their digital mixer.

It is a very precise Preamp AD but lacks the colour of a Rupert Neve Preamp strip.

I'm asking you again to end this. It's off topic first grade level stuff. Nobody needs to keep this thread going but you.
